2 quick queries regarding PPI on a Santander Loan - any advice much appreciated!!

Hello
I am looking for a bit of help. I had a joint loan with my ex partner which was passed on to Debt Managers Limited and is now fully paid up and closed.
I have found the paperwork and it appears we were also paying PPI on the loan. I am contemplating applying for this to be refunded. So my two questions are ....
1. Is it worthwhile claiming if the debt was passed to a debt collector or will Santander refuse a refund on this basis?
2. Would both myself and my ex partner need to sign any correspondance if we were putting a claim in? (dont tend to speak to him much but I will do if its going to be worthwhile lol).
Any advice would be a great help.
Thanks so much

They'll refund any redress from an upheld complaint back to a defaulted loan, but as you've apparently paid it off already, you only need valid complaint reasons to proceed. Is it worthwhile claiming if the debt was passed to a debt collector or will Santander refuse a refund on this basis?
Good luck
Yes, as it's a joint loanWould both myself and my ex partner need to sign any correspondence0
