Company wont refund credit card for an order I cancelled

I placed an order with a company called Tapstore.com. After nearly a week of not hearing anything from them (e.g. no indication of when the order might arrive), I cancelled the order. The cancellation was on 23/04. Since then, they've owed me £200 on my credit card.
I've sent them three emails and had two phone calls. After the first email, they responded two days later, saying they would process my refund ASAP. But since then, emails have been ignored, and whenever I phone, they keep telling me that the person who processes refunds has popped out, and that they will deal with it when they're back.
It's now been 22 days and they keep giving me the run around. Should I just phone my credit card company and get them to recover my funds?

They have 30 days to refund.0

They have 30 days from receipt of cancellation notice to make the refund. If they still haven't after this period then raise a Section 75 claim with your CC provider on the basis of supplier's non-compliance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
Did you contact them to cancel using a durable means (e.g. email)? i.e. is there an audit trail to prove you cancelled?0 -
Thanks for the info. That was very useful.
Alas, I cancelled by phone. But fortunately, they did acknowledge my cancellation when they replied to my first email chasing the refund. That email includes the original cancellation date. (It was also the only email - out of three - that they ever responded to!)
So, in short: guess they've got another week.
Thanks!0
