so is pretty much a Titanium apart from the auto headlights/wipers.
I don't think the auto headlights are worth it - the auto wipers maybe.

I don't see it would matter about the missing badges unless you took it to a very stupid mechanic who thought it was a petrol because there was no diesel badge :)
I need to think of something new here...

My 10 plate Fiesta had the zetec badge but when I bought the same car on a 61 plate it didn't have one. I asked the dealer and he said new Fiestas didn't have any badges except the 'Fiesta' one.

The only badges cars should have imo are model name and probably 'v6', 'turbo' and the engine size. That way I know I won't make a t!t of myself at the traffic light grand prix if I think I'm about to zip in front of a sluggish 1.6 Golf when it infact turns out to be a GTI or v5.

Infact, model name, and then the 0-40 time next to it will do :)

You might want to add 'unmarked police car' to the list. Motor racing on the highway could cost you up to 11 points!

The classic repmobile manufacturers, Ford and Vauxhall pioneered the habit of sticking meaningless series of letters all over the back of their cars. Some users, like my late brother-in-law, were more interested in the status symbol of the company car than the pay, so these letters were very important. Not all manufacturers bothered with it and some still don't. I think one of the most futile is the 'Twin Spark' stuck on the back of some Alfas. Who cares?

    YES!

On a similar note, couple of years ago my father bought a BMW from a Merc dealership, and they asked 'would you like the BMW or our Merc keyring.' He said 'I'll have the BMW ones, but I'm sure my son would appreciate a Merc keyring'
Which I did...very much...for my Hyundai at the time. :D Never got round to putting it on my new rover keys but I kept it - might do so now actually. :p

EDIT: And I just did. :D
  • I'm tempted to put the Toyota "hybrid synergy drive" badge on the back of my oil burning V6 TDI, maybe it would make the tree huggers hate me less?

Many years ago, back when I were youngish - I decided I needed to get an Astra and went for the LX model as it had certain added extras for less money than the equivilant SRI. When they told me car had arrived 10 days later or so I went to pick it up only to find no X on the back of the car. I asked them where the X was? They were puzzled too! They rang factory to be told the factory had run out of them as it was such a popular model! But they did confirm that car was in fact an LX! Took me a year to get that X back! I still think that it is funny that Vauxhall could possible run out of X's even now!
Shortly after that I sold it for an escort.
That's quite a bargain for a little plastic letter. :D
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark
