Moving Home - Cardboard Boxes Needed!

Me & my partner are moving out in a couple of weeks time. We are first time buyers and are moving out of our family homes, but we have bought nearly everything we need for our first house already.
We therefore don't really need a removals van/company (a neighbour is lending us their company van for the big items) but we need some large boxes to pack up our collection of kitchen items & such like.
Does anyone know of any cheap website or places we could get these from?
Our local Co-op are really good & will give their boxes away but they aren't really big enough and we can only fit a few pieces in (the same with boxes from paper reams at work).
Thanks!

If you live near a tele shop like curry's or somewhere give them a call and see if they have any.
Argos does a moving pack with boxes and bubble wrap etc otherwise.

beware, the larger the box, the more that goes in, the heavier it is!0

I got my free boxes from Morrisons. They were banana boxes with the slide down lid, the lid being the same shape as the box but a little bigger so it just slides over the base. They are the perfect size, have side handles, stack well and no need for tape.more dollar$ than sense0

As mentioned by Bear Family Argos do a moving pack otherwise get to a supermarket and get boxes for free. You'll have to be early thow as I see people coming out with as many as they can push at 08:00 just after they have opened.
Not sure what they use them for because I see the same people every Saturday morning.Regards,
Dave
If only I had a pound for every time I used the thanks button

Have you any family or friends with a Costco card?
Mine always has loads of different size boxes to take away - you actually might not need to be a member - just pop in and ask at the C.S desk.

Try asking on Freecycle as lots of people have boxes cluttering the place after a move and will be happy to have them reused. As has been said I would not go for large boxes. Removals companies tend to use 12 inch cubes for books and other heavy items and 18 inch boxes for most other things. Larger boxes can get very heavy and are awkward to hold and get through doors.0

Hi,
I called my local Tesco's and told me to come at 8am in the morning when they put the boxes near the checkout! I went along took as many boxes as I needed.
Its a waste of money buying boxes from places like argos.

We got ours from here and they were brilliant http://www.a1box.co.uk/
Really strong and they do a selection o sizes and strengths for different needs (the book boxes are really good as long as you use good tape) We bought the large pack at £60 which was enough to move a 3 bed semi and a 2 bed terrace0
