Fox have cancelled 'The Finder'

This irritates me because it was the first thing in ages that i enjoyed because it was mildly humorous without being a cheesy sit com, not a soap, did not have dead bodies where the only outcome is to find out who did it and was not reality TV.

I know it’s a ratings game but hey how about SOME TV that is decent that is not blinking homicide based? Following the same tired formula.


It seems the appetite for the genre does not diminish and any shows seem to languish in obscurity and destined for cancelation if they dare to flaunt anything different.


I honestly feel that it may be a lack of imagination on the part of the mass market viewer, you do not need to commit any time energy to a homicide show. You know the bad guy will get it and the plucky team will bring justice to the streets. It’s all neatly wrapped up in 45 mins.



Where as anything outside this genre means a commitment to a series where it’s not all cookie cutter the same and you and pick up or drop episodes willy nilly but essentially it does not matter as you still can grasp what’s going on because it’s the same tired story line.


Right, rant over. Off to read a book.

Perhaps they should copy the example of UK television channels and cancel everything that doesn't involve premium rate telephone calls.
