Raking the money in for selling air, cardboard, plastic - oh and product.

Why is it being assumped this is being charged as extra and not just the cost of the product?

Do theirs cost more to buy than the same size product of another brand name competitor?

If you recycle the packaging , it doesnt matter how much they use ???

Of course it does. Remember the three R's:

    R educe
    R euse
R ecycle as the last resort.

The more packaging you use means the more trees are needed to make the pulp, the more electricity and water in the manufacturing are needed so of course it matters. Then the more waste generated by that needs dealing with and so the cycle goes.
    Jeez?????!!!???
The world really needs thinking like that!

As for kellogs. Don't buy the over-processed crap in the first place.

Yes, this is a money saving site where the public can get together and discuss issues like this. No-one is forced to read or to post.

Maybe this thread would be better on the 'green' board as there is a difinite issue of waste as well as the possibility of a product's appearance of size being enhanced.

Sure, once you see the size of the product then you don't have to buy it again. But as you can see from my earlier post, shouldn't we ALL be concerned about unnecessary packaging?
