Parking ticket

Can anyone shed some light.

Got a parking ticket the other day and on inspecting the ticket the traffic warded has got my reg number correct the colour of my car correct but seems have to got a little confused with the make as they have put down the make as a toyota but it is actually a mazda!!

From what i know this should make the parking ticket invalid.

Has anyone had any similar experience to this or know what i should be doing?

thanks

byticket, is thisn issued by a council/local authority traffic warden/civil enforcement officer, or the police.
Or is it a private parking ticket issued by someone in a high vis jacket.

in other words whos name is on the ticket, and is it a parking charge notice, or a penalty charge notice?

No. The colour and make are largely irrelevant. Its the Reg Number that's key. If they've got that right and you are the Reg Keeper then you will be liable for the PCN I'm afraid.

Your best bet is to appeal, and to put the best appeal together you should register on the PePiPoo website and start a thread in the Council Tickets forum.

Hi it is issued by city parking (glasgow) LLP on behalf of glasgow city council, and it is a glasgow city council penalty charge notice.

payment methods are through web site glasgow.gov.uk

So it's a real PCN so you must pay or appeal - but you won't win based on wrong car make I am afraid. If the reg number was wrong you'd be safe but not the car details.

You need more grounds for appeal.

Post on pepipoo a new topic with a pic of both sides of the PCN and a GoogleStreetView link to the parking place:

Worth a try before you rush to pay. Most people win in the end.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes over to Pepipoo, Glasgow penalty notices are like Leeds I recall only 1 time and they never defend them at adjudication if challenged on the 1 time issue, it would cost them too much to have to change the machines.
