Trave Insurance

Hi,

My parents were recently on holiday and had travel insurance for 90 days. During those 90 days my mother fell ill and had to be hospitalised whilst abroad and subsequently recuperate for weeks, before being reptraiated to the UK by the insurance company. However I had to upgrade my parents insurance for a further 30 days, even though my mother fell whilst still under cover for the initial 90 days. My question is should the initial insurance policy covered my parents for the period after the 90 days ?

Thanks

You will need to read the policy. I know of two policies that have an automatic extension of 30 days if you cannot return home due to illness.
