Can I claim Virgin airmiles?

I have just found some unused Virgin Atlantic airmiles with Virgin Flying Club which expire on 15 May. I forgot I had them as I changed PCs earlier this year. I am flying out to US on 15 May with Virgin but that was booked via a travel agent.

Is there anyway I can a) roll over existing miles and b) claim credit for latest trip?

if you have your booking reference (6 character number) you should be able to see your booking on Virgin's website - manage my booking - and add your Flying Club number. You don't earn miles until you fly so no credit to claim yet.

If that doesn't work, you can apply for missing miles after you fly (in theory you could lodge the claim after your flight on the 15th I would think, if you would have internet access)...after logging in there's an option to claim missing miles...there's a section there that explains how to find your booking reference:

Your booking reference number will be a 6-digit code made up of both numbers and letters. Where to find it depends on the type of ticket you have:

    Flights booked on this website
If you booked your flights on this website we will have sent you a booking confirmation email. Your booking reference is near the top under 'Booking Details'.

    Virgin Atlantic e-tickets
Your booking reference is close to the top just above the Issue Date.

    Virgin Holidays
If you have purchased directly from Virgin Holidays, the reference is a five or six digit number, followed by a '/' and a three digit alphanumeric combination, e.g. 12345/S05 or 654321/W05. This can be found at the top of your holiday invoice.

    Paper tickets
Your booking reference can be found in the PNR Code field usually located in the centre of the ticket. You just need the first six digits you don't need the '/' or the two digits after it.

    Travel Agent bookings
The booking reference given by travel agents may vary. It may be shown on your ticket as a combination of letters and numbers, however if you have difficulty locating the booking reference you should contact your travel agent to confirm.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    a) No

    b) Not sure if the TA ref you got when making the booking wil be sufficient\correct for you to log into your FC and add it to the flight.

At this short notice I'd ring Virgin, quote the reference the TA gave you and add you FC number to the booking.
