i need to work out how much of my roof area is flat.in a percentage. the main tile roof is 37.63 m square. the flat roof of an extension is 20.24 m square. so the total roof area is 57.87 m square.
how do i work out what percentage of the roof is flat????
(its silly because most tiled roofs go up and down, and can have 2 - 4 sides so working it out as if seen at a birds eye view as suggested by insurance company seems a bit stupid)

I think it is a guideline as to how much of the house footprint is protected by a flat roof, versus a more accepted pitch construction..
therefore, I would just divide 20.24/57.87 x 100 = %
But that seems like a big extension..!0 -
100 / 57.87 * 20.24 = 34.97%0
