Although DD arrives in the country early hours tomorrow, she is going straight to my DM's. I have to work but was originally planning on going to my DM's straight after. However my DM is currently in one of her off moods and in my current stressed state, I realise its probably best if I leave it until Sat, as a day in work, followed by a 160 mile drive to get to her house is likely to leave me in a fragile mood. With the wedding next week I am trying to avoid her winding me up and therefore putting a dampener on the enjoyment.

I will spend the day, night and morning with them both before pinching DD and coming home on Sunday. DM is then supposed to be coming down on Tuesday for the wedding on Wed.

Difficult day in work today but have managed to get most of the stuff I need to get off my desk done, with just a few tasks left for tomorrow. HE actually made a total T1T of HIMSElf today, saying HE'd done something on one of my cases and then having to admit HE actually hadn't. it was something major too and if I'd not noticed HE'd have got into trouble with Senior boss. Perhaps I should have let it happen but sadly I'm not like that. Anyway, last day tomorrow for 10 days - yey

No pasta lasagne finished off tonight and it looks so yummy I was gutted that OH had cooked a dinner. Recipe in next post.

    NSD #13 today.

Off to bed soon as yet again I feel pretty exhausted but that could be because I was awake before 5am this morning :D

Night all, hope you've had a good day

    No pasta lasagne

Make bolognese sauce as per normal lasagne recipe. I do it this way

    Onion
    Garlic
    Chilli
    Pepper
All fried off using spray light oil in non stick pan for 5 minutes

    Add mince and brown

    Add 2 tsps oregano
    Passatta
    Mushrooms
    Spinach

    Simmer for 20 minutes

While that's simmering, peel a large leek into sheets and blanch in boiling water. Use the inner leaves in bolognese mixture above

Spoon bolognese into a lasagne dish and cover with sheets of leek instead of pasta sheets.

Cover in cheese sauce made by
mixing low fat cottage cheese with
    Ground pepper
    1 egg
and a low fat goats cheese

    repeat all 3 layers

Top cheese sauce mix with small amount of mature cheddar or parmesan.

Cover with foil and bake for 55 minutes in 180 oven

Remove foil and bake for further 15 minutes until golden brown

    Enjoy x

  • Very impressed with your NSDs Granny, especially with the wedding coming up. I have a bad habit of seeing accessories for outfits/things for a present on a daily basis when a special occasion arises.
    The lasagne sounds delicious :)
Here's hoping you get a good night's sleep tonight xx

Thanks Giggles, you were posting here while I was visiting you x

Forgot to say earlier, bank aren't charging me for bounced DD. Life insurance company said they'd try again in 10-14 days with no fee for late payment. By the time they take it I will have been paid so don't need to worry about putting cash in bank. They have also moved my payment date to 1st month so coincides with most other DD.

Well I'm just popping in before I drive off to see DM and my darling dearest DD. DS wanted to come but there isn't room in DMs for us all and DD wants to stay tonight because its DM birthday tomorrow. DS is besides himself with excitement at thought of DD coming home.

nsd #14 yesterday so pleased with my progress this month but probably won't have any more as rest of the month involves sorting things out for the wedding.

I managed to get vouchers for DDIL2B and I to have our nails done for £18 each for luxury manicure and free shellac nails.

I'm having my hair trimmed at the same salon on Mon - courtesy of l1v1ng s0cial deal.

Then spray tan, Monday pm and facial and brow threading Tues am, both courtesy of gr0up0n.

Not much else needed but can't imagine any of the next 4 days being nsd but may just be lsd.

Was really glad to finish work yesterday, HE was besides HIMSELF with awfulness yesterday and actually called me "Honey" at one point, to which I replied "No, don't do that to me or I'm likely to hit you with something" HE laughed and said it was the response HE expected. So why do it. OH wanted me to report HIM to HR but I've decided to let it go for now and report it if anything similar happens.

HE is going off work just after I get back from leave and likely to be off for at least a month. Chances are I won't see HIM until December so November should be good.

Had to nag HIM to sign off all my work yesterday and was quite cheeky to HIM for most of the day but you have to earn respect don't you and HE most certainly hasn't. HE is such a lazy s0d that the only way to get HIM to do anything is to nag HIM. Anyway, I'm not even going to think about work for 10 days. :D

OH was in a bad mood when I got home last night, I think he's had a bad week too and came home and drank too much which for once instead of making him stupid made him more angry for some reason. I think the weekend away from each other will do us good.

Right I'm off to get tidied up and then drive 160 miles. Talk soon
