in Credit cards
I am looking for a credit card that offers the best rewards. I intend to use it only for extra protection under the CCA, and will pay it off straight away, so rates are not that important. Any suggestions?

Need to know
How much are you planning to use per month.
Are you mainly going to use the card where Amex is taken
What type of rewards are you looking for such as cashback, travel etc0 -
I'm only planning to use it occasionally, e.g. for large DIY purchases. Probably only several times per year.
I'd rather avoid Amex, as I'm not sure where I will be purchasing.
I've had a quick look and the cashback rewards don't look very good given the amounts I'll be spending. I was looking more for shopping, dining rewards if possible.
Many thanks.0 -
As far as I know unlike US card companies don't offer higher reward for vouchers, say over 1%. Your best option would be Capone cashback card.0

If you are a member of the AA you could try for one of their reward cards. They have 3 ways to redeem points earned through motoring and general spending. AA products (I guess Breakdown cover, insurance etc.), High Street Vouchers, or cashback. Redeeming your points on the AA products gives you the most value and next is the vouchers, cashback was literally half that amount given in vouchers when I was checking out their cards yesterday.
I haven't really compared many others, I was actually looking for a pre-paid card with rewards, but the AA card seemed really flexible with the redemption options.
Hope that helps,

We use Cap One for foreign travel. They have absolutely no fees. They have a great offer right now where they will match miles from other cards you used last year. I also have a checking acct (all done online) with no ATM fees, even in foreign countries. No annual fee either. I use Chase Southwest card for all domestic purchases, as we fly them a lot.0

I suspect you're thinking of the US Capital One cards, rather than the UK.0
