Childrens Savings Account

My granddaughter (8 months) is getting christened soon and I wnted to open a savings account for her - but struggling to find anyone who has an Online account.

Probably looking to put £100 in initially - with a £10 per month investment. More than happy to have an account that restricts withdrawals for up to age 15 or 16 - and best interest possible (obviously).


ANyone any idea for a suitable account - or other suggestion for such a scheme?

If you are thinking of setting up a "re" account (and whichever account you set up, assuming she's a non-taxpayer, submit an R85 signed by her parents), there should be no reason why you can't open any account that accepts a "re" (bare trust) account. http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/tdsi/children.htm
