Cargiant where do they get their cars from
I have been going to many car auction in the hope to pick up a bargain.
But so far I have found that the Cargiant are very competitively price.
In fact their prices are still bit cheaper than what the car are being sold for at auction specially when you factor in the buyer fees.
Where do they get their stock(cars) from.
I use to think it must be auction but perhaps not.
The auction I have been too are
BCA
Aston Barclay
Manheim
Many Thanks

You know they are "linked to we buy any car", Right?
There's your answer.
Be aware they're not selling cars, they're selling finance that happens to have a car attached to it.0 -
I think you made a good point about finance and selling warranties .
I can still remember the day when I refuse to buy warranty they were very very unhappy0 -
You will find with CG that the car you see advertised at £6995 will turn out to be £7995 when you get there.
They are well known for advertising "ghost" cars.
I often see CG's buyers at BCA.0 -
CarGiant, while buying a fair amount from BCA, are like most other biggies. They clear stock by the car park full from finance houses and manufacturers and necessarily, get some chaff in that wheat.0

Like all car dealers from the mechanic up the road who only ever used it on a Sunday Morning to take his mum shopping, then changed the oil after each trip.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. The majority of Cargiant cars seem to be 1 owner ex-lease bought from fleet owners.
They don't appear to be anything to do with UK Car Group which owns webuyanycar.com or Carcraft.0 -

If it's a four door car/estate car you're buying just tell them you're going to use the car as a minicab.
Most warranties will be invalid if the car is used for business.
I did that at Autoquake (now gone into administration) but they were very persistent (though, indeed the car I was buying is giong to be used as such), and told me that whenever it needs warranty work doing that I should take the plates off/stickers/nosmoking stickers etc. so they won't know.0 -
I used to work I preparation for car giant in my younger years. I'm no lover of some of their sales tactics or financial products, but the cars seemed sound. Near enough all of them are ex lease motors being disposed of.
One thing car giant do not like are punters returning motors with problems. In prep, we got major problems fixed or, if we couldn't make it profitable, the car went off to auction. The idea being that the car in the showroom was for all intents and purposes the cream of the crop, so to speak. Of course, a few bad uns slip through, but not for want of trying. They operate on very thin margins to remain competitive. They minimise the chances of a car having to be returned, so the car actually has to be good to go. We also spent a fair amount of time chasing lease companies, dealers and repairers for documentation. It was rare that a car with Zero service history would make the showroom. Generally, if we couldn't get history, it would go to auction.
To be honest, of the three car related companies I've worked for (never in sales), I think CG are the ones I'd actually put my own money to... And intend to. However, in my experience, I'd rather walk in for a cash sale rather than dither about with their financial packages which just seem a little on the cut throat side to me...0 -
Car Giant get a lot of cars that never see the light of an auction. They hoover up loads of Grade B Motability stock. The man without a signature.0
