Advice if you haven't got the orig paperwork

Hi,
I don't have the original paperwork from my load that ended about 7 years ago. I sent a letter asking for a full account breakdown as per the step by step instructions and have just received a letter back from my bank saying that they will send me a list of transactions going back 6-7 years. I can't see how this will help me with a claim for mis-sold PPI? I'm not interested in the bank charges. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Can anyone offer any advice on what to do next?
Thanking you in advance

When you get the statements from your bank see if the loan payment is there, if it is then you have the bank that you got the loan from and you send a Sar request to them.
See what you get from your bank.0 -
I'm in exactly the same situation, however Lloyds TSB are being akward about retreiving the details as it was more than 6 years ago. I have spoken to my local branch 2 weeks ago, they said they would call me back but so far nothing.0

Hi
Chase them up about this, or call into the local branch if you've not done so already.
They forwarded me details as from the 90's, so I'm sure they should do the same for you too, keep at them, good luck.
May I also stated that with the main of them, I found the loan account numbers on the bank statements, if you also bank online with them, this may allow you to go back about 7 years online. The loan account numbers are enclosed next to the loan monthly repayment, then if your sure you were sold ppi and have reasons for being mis sold, continue with the reclaiming.
You can do this by completing the reclaim questionnaire, the one directly on lloyds site is the same form as on here, and send to the address shown on their website.
Keep copies as well.
