Problems with PayPal site?

I sold something to an English girl who lives in France at 9.30 this morning - she then mailed me to say:
I'm in a panic! I went through the motions to pay as usual and it was marked payment terminated, but when I returned to ebay and then to paypal again, it is as if I haven't paid! Can you tell me if you have anything your end from me please?
Then:

apparently there is a technical difficulty with the paypal site for the moment and I've sent them a message as I don't know what's happened with the £50! I shall keep checking every 15 mins to see if payment has been registered or not, I've never had this problem before, hope the page hasn't been hijacked!
She's got 100% F/b of 72, so she's absolutely fine. There's no payment in my account; anyone else having problems - is it all PayPal or just the French site? :eek:

There seems to be a few problems with Paypal since the downtime this morning, but it's not affecting everyone. There have been a few reports of eBay not linking through to Paypal, card payments being refused, etc..
I am also stuck trying to make a payment - I have a card registered and Verified, but Paypal insists that I have exceeded the sending limit (applied to unverified accounts).
