Is a defaced ticket void?

Hi everyone,
I have recently recieved a PCN from Vehicle Control Services, I have sent them a dispute re: the ticket and the fact that I am stating I will not pay, they obviously wrote back saying I have to, however I have just spoken to a friend who looked at my ticket and it is not filled in properly. Do I inform VCS and say this is just another reason why I don't pay? In any case what is the relevant legislation/guideline that I reference?

You don't have to bother just ignore them, as you have contacted them yyou will get a few more bits of rubbish papers but eventually they give up.

Legislation? It's a pretend ticket! Why on earth are you taking this so seriously? You and your friend are both trying to look for ways of getting out of a fake ticket!

It's not a parking fine at all and you should have ignored it and just be collecting each letter and playing snap against the preview letter pics in our second to top thread 'PPC letters & threats'. It looks from the earlier thread linked that you have Roxburghe and Graham White letters to look forward to. Most people on here have ignored several of those! It doesn't matter that you have responded - but there never was an 'appeals procedure' you should by now realise...they lie. It was their way of hooking you in, getting an address to write to and mimicking a real Council PCN.

It's nowt to worry about though, this con is just a mail scam with an impersonation of authority followed by a flurry of letters. Nothing else happens. Ignore the letters for a few weeks/months and then it will be SCAM OVER.

Only ever take seriously a real ticket from the Police, TFL, Council (or rarely, a Train Operator but only if they have issued a real penalty themselves, not got a private goon to try a fake one).

Any private 'Parking Charge Notice' is fake. A real ticket (from a Council) is a 'Penalty Charge Notice'. Spot the difference!

Well done, for your info, it was ALWAYS void, you didn't have to argue the case! Put your friend right on this as well. And while you are at it, tell ALL your friends- NEVER PAY A PRIVATE PARKING TICKET.
