You might not be aware that Google uses Chrome to gather information about every site you visit. When it is started it establishes a connection to Google's servers and transmits the URLs home.
Your ISP is likely to be doing much the same thing. If you're that worried I suggest tunneling.0 -

Thanks thats clarified for me now. I didn't like ixquicks search results so am happily using duckduckgo again. It is a much better search engine, which is included in the Opera available options, so will stick with.New forum. New sig. Yes I still need to lose 2 stone!0

apparantly faster than IE, though pics sometimes dont load after a while.. need to clear history/cookies quite regularly.Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
