Good luck with your interview.
Have you been told what the presention is on?
Most interview panels will ask you to come for interview at a certain time -and the first half hour is yours to make notes on how you will answer- prepare etc.
I would say you would be allowed to take some notes with you but if you will be able to use at the interview will be up to the panel.

If they haven't said anything on the interview letter about notes, ring and ask for clarification. At least then you can plan your strategy.Stercus accidit0

Not sure whether to even put myself through the stress of it, it says to present how past experiences, training and qualifications has prepared you for carrying out role/ tasks of deputy manager. I apply these things and then hate thought of interview, know I could do the job. Just think there are probably hundreds in for it. Says can use flip chart.0

what band is it? and have you rung them to ask if there is a liason for the post? They sometimes put someone in the role to offer advice - someone who is currently doing a similar band job, and they can advise you what might come up, what format the interview is, etc. Well other branches of HSCNI do, so I would have hoped the BHSCT would do it!! Otherwise, ask them if you are allowed to bring prompts with you.
Don't fret - everyone will be nervous!!0 -
I empathise. I'm job hunting at the moment and it's torture - the high of getting an interview followed by the low of not getting it.
My advice (from someone on her sixth interview this year with no offer lol) is....
I assume it's a short presentation. It's the opener - your chance to tell them what you will bring to the job so focus your preparation on what the initial ad said they wanted and what relevant skills you bring. Make it really concise. Use examples to illustrate your competences. E.g. I am a good organiser. In my current role I arranged the filing cabinet so that all files were easily accessible to the team. I'm a team worker. I worked with my colleagues to produce a report. We met once a week to discuss our roles and suggest improvements etc etc.
I'd use the flip chart to bullet point each competence that you illustrate.
Yes, there will be competition. Make sure you use the interview time to show what you have to offer them and leave the room knowing you did that. Good luck.Stercus accidit0 -
It is a band 6 post, so think thats why there is a presentation.0
