Legoland Recent Experiences

I was looking for any recent experiences of legoland windsor

Having seen this video on youtube....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUXu0Ck277E

This has put me off a bit (waiting over an hour to leave the park, and also the price of a burger) if its true???

Does the car park barrier really delay you this much when leaving?

Please post both good and bad experiences

Thanks

    Hi,

My husband and I go to Legoland regularly due to having a Merlin Pass. I think this guy is just having a rant and you shouldn't let it put you off going, in my opinion. :)

The only time we have had to wait to leave the park was on one of their firework extravaganza nights. There was a big queue so we went back into the park to chill while the queue died down. On a normal day we have never waited more than a minute or so to get through the barriers. Actually it's usually pretty much instant. Depends what time you leave and we generally leave at closing time.

Regarding the food, I can't comment about the price of the burgers. We always eat in the pizza/pasta buffet restaurant which we LOVE. :) OK, it's not cheap but what theme park is? You can eat all that you want and the food is tasty.

Look for 2 for 1 entrance vouchers to get in as it's expensive otherwise. You have to pay to park now and there's priority parking if you want to park nearer the entrance, but to be honest it's not worth it. You won't have to walk too far.

TBH, this guy in the video scared me a little bit - chillax, dude! If you do go, have fun. We always do! :)

    Bo.

We made the mistake of going in August and must have spent 90% or more of the day stood in queues, some of the rides we had to queue almost an hour for:eek:

We went to the Danish one in mid August a few years later (the Danish kids were back in school) and it was excellent, no queue longer than 10 mins, and there was lego for the kids to play with while waiting.

We always take our own food to theme parks, as well as the expense we don't want to be queuing for food as well as the rides!

We've been several times, and agree with the others. Like any theme parks it gets very busy in school holidays and food is expensive, but no worse than others. Get a 2 4 1 offer - lots in Tesco at the moment to keep costs down. Get there as early as you can, then pace yourselves - there willbe a LOT of queueing. Last time we had sandwiches just before we went in, we took some some drinks and just bought some chips to share, then went to the Harvester a couple of miles away for tea.
Like all of these places take comfy shoes, lots of patience and have planned whether you are going to eat there or not - if so remember meal times will be slammed to eat early or late. Enjoy!
Be the change you want to see :j
