I am looking to upgrade my harddrive for my Dell D630 Laptop which runs on Win XP. 80gig at present. Looking on fleabay I am bombarded with loads of specs that dont mean nothing to me. I have a budget of around £50 and 200gig or thereabouts would be nice if anyone could suggest something.

any 2.5 inch SATA hard drive will fit0

Any 2.5" sata will do as stated, try and avoid 2nd hand on ebay and go for a new one if you can.
Look at something like this 250gb sata II WD drive. Now, make sure you know where your recovery OS disks are for the drive, to make it easier to reinstall windows. OR clone your current HDD for the OS.
You could then get a cheap caddy and throw in the old hdd for a small portable hdd.0 -
