Ticket from Excel @ Chorlton Precinct Car Park

I've read many posts on here from people in a similar situation to myself and have followed links to the Watchdog video etc and no doubt you are going to reply with 'just ignore it' but my mum always told us it's better to be safe than sorry so here I am posting this anyway, just to alleviate my concerns.
I parked in the Car Park at Chorlton Precinct and walked to the Croma restaurant on the corner to meet my friend for lunch, we were seated and ordered drinks when I remembered that I'd not bought a car park ticket, I nipped back to the car park (less than a minute away) and bought a ticket, displayed it in my car and returned to the restaurant. This morning I have received a letter from Excel Parking demanding £60 which will increase to £100 if I don't pay it in 14 days.
Can I just completely ignore it?

Well, as you so rightly said, it is better to be safe than sorry.
Hence, ignore it = safe
Pay it = sorry.
Keep hold of the ticket if you still have it just as belt and braces.
And, as belt and braces plus string, edit out place details from your post including title!0 -
Yep, as long as it's not a company/hire/lease car then you must always just ignore any fake PCN like this. You are safe to do so and I presume you have found the letter-chain thread so you're ready to just play snap with the letters now?
Good stuff. :TPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Fake ticket, you paid for parking so inform them then threaten legal action for harrasment against the shopping precinct as one of their agents is harrasing you and the shoppping precinct are jointly liable for the actions of their agents, as soon as the PPC start costing the shopping centre management money in harrasment cases the sooner they will be kicked off and denied to oportunity to opperate. From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"0 -
forgot to say,, google michael cutts he took these scumbags to court of the height of the signage at peel centre in stockport,,needless to say ,,he spanked them,,another case victoria hetherington-jakeman also gave them a good hiding.please spread the word to the unsuspecting motorists in the precinct who may believe this scam is actually genuine.0
