Good 4 * + Hotel advice for Tenerife ?

I can recommend the Hotel Medano in El Medano. It is right on the beach built out on stilts. El Medano is a small place and very quiet with quite a mix of nationalities and only a few km from the airport. There are half a dozen restaurants near the centre - the hotel food is not so good. It can be windy (lots of windsurfing etc) but the beach beside the hotel is sheltered by it. They have a web site
