Be really careful with the food and the water, my daughter came back last year, had been really careful and was off work for 3 weeks with a tummy bug, a bad one. Lots of others with the same thing too.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

How old are the kids? If they're over 12 and have an interest in history, a Nile cruise would be ideal.

I love the heat but Egypt in August with kids.....Phew way too hot for the kids.

Also Egypt for 2.5k for ten days in school holidays... personally only ever go to Club Magic Life in Sharm or Reef Oasis Blue Bay and you can;t fault either and never had problems with upset tums etc but you certainly wouldnt get it for 2.5k

    What ages are kids?

    Mortgage-free Glee!
We went to Sharm on a BA holiday a couple of years ago and stayed in the Hilt*n at Sharks Bay, all inclusive. It was great, if you go ask for a room on the new side - they are lovely and the pool is fantastic! Have a good time.

  • I've stayed in lots of Hiltons AI in Egypt and always enjoyed - like others have said though be careful about the temp - it is v hot! Make sure wherever you pick has lots of umbrellas and shadey areas, I know family who went last year and had to retreat to their rooms half the day as hardly any umbrellas on the beach / by the pool.
I've found big brand american hotels you're usually ok with food drinks as they use bottled water for everything (even washing veg). However be careful with any activities I was really ill one year upon returning home (not just normal tummy bug, ended up in hospital) - was told it was probably from the water I'd used to wash out scuba equipment!!!
