Many thanks as ever to Zippy, Rosieben and Helen Jelly for running the thread and now I'm off to tot up the disaster (ongoing) that has been May!
Good luck to all for June!August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0 -
I've not been following for nearly 2 months and my purse is feeling it!!! Waaaayyyyy overspent in May. Mainly because we catered for a huuge family BBQ on Sat and had been stocking up for it for the last few weeks. Thing is we were doing the food but at MIL's house so we dont even get the leftovers! So I am well and truly back on it this month. Good start with some decent whoopsies in MrS last night. Wish me luck!!June GC £130.93/£150Wedding Date Set 13th October 2012 :T0

I'm signing on to June Grocery Challenge! I already posted my budget for the month of £130.
I didn't set a budget for May, but after adding it all up it was £226! I am afraid I did not monitor my spending at all last month.
My last grocery shop was yesterday, and we spent £48 for the two of us.
My June doesn't start untill the 3rd, however I decided to meal plan with the food we have in the house, and I've managed a meal plan for two weeks.
Which means my first shop in June should be low? I really hope.
I am going to try and revolutionise our shopping this monthWeightloss: 18lbs/28lbs (Start weight: 11st, Current 9st 10)

I am still with the May thread until the 31st but think I will aim for £300 in June, that's for everything - I only have one budget0

Hi all, just did my last May/first June shop! Went slightly over in May so will be trying harder.:o
We are staying with friends this weekend, there's 4 of us so will take some basics and treats with us. And as they're keen drinkers, some alcohol too! Going to up my budget to £320 to cover this extra expense but really hope it doesn't go that high.
My June spend so far is £17.65 at !id!, which was mostly stuff to take away, juice, 2 bottles of prosecco, biscuits. Plus some odds and ends for the beginning of next week.
Babysitting tonight so a quick tea of spicy beans and noodles before I go. Easy and very cheap!Make £2020 in 2020 £178.81/£2020

My challenge for June is £260 which is a guess. I do my shopping with Tesco online. If you know of a cheaper supermarket who delivers then let me know.
Hi Kimberley - great to see you (and all the other newbies & returnees of course:D).
Re online orders - I personally rarely shop at Mr T (except if I've got "not to miss" MOC) - although the stuff on offer can be good value, their every prices are extortionate eg 200g of a certain coffee - Mr T price £6.57 / Mr A price £4.50 , a certain washing gel - Mr T price £8.17 / Mr A price £6.79  - and they're not the only things that are marked up hugely!
I tried every sm that would deliver to me last year (housebound following surgery) - most will offer £10 off a £50 shop as an introductory offer which is worth using up to stock up and TBH I was very surprised by Sainsbobs - their Basics range is really good quality and I found their "everyday" branded items cheaper than Mr T!:D
I'm still technically in May until 31st but don't need anythingso have declared. 1st month under budget this year :j so hoping the annualised budget is going to start balancing out now . Freezer has some room in it (not a lot yet tho'!) and have managed to clear out a drawer for the new dog's stuff
Was terrible at keeping track of May's thread and I really missed hearing what everyone was up to / picking up tips so will try much harder this month (dog away for around a week so have some time to get online:o)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250

I thought I had done so well on my spending last week!
Realised there was a receipt that had not been added on - so have updated sig with an extra £9.93.
