Nationwide Overdrafts

Hi, My wife opened up a Nationwide Flex account around a month ago and was offered a Visa Debit card and cheque book. She was not offered any overdraft facility.

She has checked on onlne banking and shows she is not entitled to an overdraft or a reserve limit at the moment. After how long Nationwide review accounts for overdrafts?

Thanks
MS

They normally review every 6 months.

Has she asked them for an overdraft? You can apply for one online if she does on line banking. When I opened my Flex Account I had an overdraft facility immediately, but I did ask for this when opening the account.

She did ask for overdraft but was not approved for it during online application. When she click on overdrafts she gets a message:-

We are unable to agree to provide an overdraft limit to you at present. Our decision has been reached after a careful assessment of what we know about your personal financial circumstances.

Reserve limit shows a message:- You current dont have a reseve limit.
