Next directory- will they remove a late payment from my credit report?

Hello I have sent next a goodwill letter to ask them to remove a late payment as a goodwill gesture. Has anyone ever had luck with next before? Will they even reply!?

    The whole point of credit records is to record what actually happened. Assuming you failed to pay on time and there was no mitigating circumstance why should they change a truthful record? I can see it from your point of view but if you failed to pay on time its correct.

    If it was only a week or so I doubt that will stop you getting credit with an otherwise good record. The point of the records is to see if you do it regularly.
    Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.
