Hotmail problem

Can anyone advise me...my parents have an e-mail account with hotmail and said that they have been blocked from it and they don't know why. They tried resetting the password but have still not been able to access it.
They have a lot of contacts stored on the e-mail account and really need to find a way to access it. Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions?

I know someone this has happened to, they just requested a change of password from Hotmail, he received a link. He then entered the same password he had been using and he got in.
Sounds odd, but sometimes things like this work.0 -
Well I don't know why they had trouble, I've just managed to reset the password and log in.0

I think if you follow the "cant access your account" link then it will give you the option to "forgotten your password" and either reset by asking security questions but more importantly will give you the option to speak to customer services to sort it out. You will need an alternative email to be contacted by, however.0
