Confused!!!!!!!!!!

i was involved in a car crash the other day and my car is a write off the accident was my fault due to turning right and not picking up the oncuming car properly, who i suppose will put in a claim with my insurancse company being e car insurancse, the things that i am wondering are should i now cancel my insurance as there bout 7 months left on it and i will get £400 according to the website or would i not get that now as i have been invloved in an accident and the insurancse company is goimg to have to pay out or will i recieve the £400 back, or could i keep the policy going just buy a new car and pay the difference by changing the car as which i did when i had a rover and it broke down so bought a new car and got £150 back as lower insurance group car, would same apply expect this time it will be a few weeks before i purchase a new car due to the fact i broke my wrist in an accident and also becuase i have been in an accident with the car that is now being disposed of, would i be able to add a new car to the policy in a few weeks even though, the cilo that is wrote off is going to be disposed off. any help and advice would be of great help

You won't be able to cancel your insurance as you will have a claim on the policy. So you will be liable for the full price of the premium. You should be able to add your new vehicle to the policy.

yes you will be able to change your policy to cover the new car instead of the old one.

As above poster said you are now liable for the whole years premium due to the claim so cannot cancel it anyway.

You can add a new car to the policy whenever you like either now or in a few weeks.
The insurers will still deal with the claim as that was the car that was on cover at the time of the incident.
