apply new tiles over old, finishing off

4 rows of tiles on wall behing kitchen worktops, paint above tiles. If I apply new tiles to cover the old ones, how can I finish it off ?
Original tiles top row have a sort of beveled edge but new tiles stick up.

Get large profile tile trim or what used to be known as quarter rounds or Johnson's bath trim. Alteratively get a profiled wooden moulding and paint to suit.....

All of the above would look better than the dirt collecter that would be a line of grout in the long run.....
