What do you think of JimmyTheWig's comment?
I have to decide whether to take a deep breath and ignore the ticket but as a fully paid up wuss I shall find it hard to laugh at any threatening letters that might be coming my way.
Well I must agree with everyone who is telling you to ignore it.
@catsdad who has just posted that 'Glasgow are now threatening disciplinary action for staff who ignore parking notices' my answer would be ''let them threaten as there's not much they can do about a civil allegation of breach of contract against an unknown driver''.
As things stand, only the driver of the car can possibly be considered party to any contract. And although the OP works there it does not necessarily mean that the OP was driving.
We have had this question posted loads of times, by nurses usually, and there has been NO disciplinary action. NOTHING.
I do see this sort of case as being a bit more difficult than most after October when the Freedoms Act comes in and takes away our freedom to say 'take it up with the driver then'. But at the moment there is no issue. Do not reply as you could inadvertently give them the driver info they want. Do not assume that the fact you work there means they somehow know you 'must' have been driving. Nope. I could have driven you there that day, so could anyone with a motor insurance policy that allows them to drive other cars (= most drivers).
You will just get the usual letters shown in the second to top thread 'PPC letters & threats'. Everyone gets the same rubbish.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

If you are required by your employer to bring your car to work and the employer fails to provide adequate space for you to park it, then they can hardly either fine you, or threaten to discipline you, on account of the fact that you left it wherever you could without causing an obstruction. WHY ON EARTH SHOULD YOU PAY FOR THEIR FAILURE?
Clearly the reference above to disciplinary action by Glasgow is for where staff do NOT have to bring cars in, or, more probably, is a bluff. I do not see how these criteria could be used in your case.0 -
Re-Glasgow.
I would like to see them to try and get that to stand-up at an employment tribunal.0 -
methinks they have been given disinformation lessons by the Master- the PPC!0

Someone ought to point out to them that the denial of an alleged debt is a civil matter. If they want a decision on the 'justness' of their charges they need to pursue it via a county court, not by taking disciplinary measures.
Is there a union involved?
I echo what Fergie said above.Je Suis Cecil.0 -
They are just Scots, what are they going to know about the law?
Oh, I forgot- they outlawed clamping 20 years ago.
Okay, so they know rather more than the English!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Though not, I would say, on this particular issue...... they would be castrated if they took disciplinary action for someone not paying a fake PCN, IMHO.0
