What Vouchers Can't Be Listed on Ebay?

In a previous thread Soo mentioned that some vouchers shouldn't be listed on Ebay.

I do tend to list vouchers from time to time, so would really appreciate knowing if there are any types that cannot be listed.

TIA

  • I think there could be a problem with tesco vouchers as they're usually named so strictly speaking non transferable although people sell them to take advantage of the 'deals' value

Many vouchers, tickets etc say either on the voucher itself, or in the associated paperwork that they are not transferable. Any vouchers that say that can't be sold, not because of ebay rules but because of the rules set by the issuer. This includes things like tesco vouchers, Ideal Home exhibition tickets and lots of other 'common' vouchers/tickets.

Then on top of that ebay have their own rules and the overview is here:

    http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/items-ov.html

However, ebay do not police themselves so many vouchers get listed and sold purely because they are never reported.
