Transferring phone number from VM to Sky

Hi

Looking at changing from VM to Sky. Not too bothered about losing my email address, bit of a Faff but can work around it. I do, however, need to keep my phone number. Is this possible? If so, is it difficult and do I need to get anything from VM when I give notice of cancellation?
