  • I've just recently got an Amex Platinum CC, and it didn't come with a chip'n'pin. I take it Amex are a bit slower on the uptake than the other banks etc.

    my understanding is that the banks etc are providing chip and pin firstly to new customers, then to customers who require there cards replacing ie if its been reported lost and then lastly to customers whose cards are expiring.
    the whole chip and pin change is a costly and time consuming operation for the card manufacturers who are working 24-7 getting these cards out.
