Presume the obligations & taxes will include the 5% vat on domestic fuel bills (and isn't it the full 20% on commercial bills ?)NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -
arh yes , thanks , so E, 4 % / G, 1% social support then ?
so the green levy of 10% on electric, 4% and on gas, stands then
That 10% additonal on electric is approx. what we pay more than the french do for electric ( they've one of the cheapest rates in EU for electric )
We're the 11th cheapest (out 27 EU States) and 5th cheapest for gas , http://www.energy.eu/
So you could say we're not doing that bad relatively to our nieghbours over the channel ?0 -

Also there will be the company's own tax liabilities. Without a look at their full breakdown it's hard to guess, but is the profit % before or after tax. If after, then they must have shifted the tax element into the 'government bundle'. Meaning that the 10% and 19% include Green Tariff, social support, VAT and company tax.jamesingram wrote: »That 10% additonal on electric is approx. what we pay more than the french do for electric ( they've one of the cheapest rates in EU for electric )
Need to be careful there. I was reading some comments from people living in France (yes, I read too much, and should get a life!), they seem to contest some of the quoted low prices. They explain that several local taxes are added, covering all sorts of things. I'm sure they said that the final bill is about double what the quoted French electricity rate is. Apologies, but I can't remember what the taxes relate to exactly.

It showed that without the implementation of improved efficiency boilers and insulation and DG our heating energy requirements today would be approx double.
Mart.
Here it is, fascinating read, especially the final two graphs:-

"The combined savings from insulation and heating efficiency improvements reduced domestic space heating by an estimated 41.3 million tonnes of oil equivalent. Without these improvements it is estimated that energy consumption would have been twice as high as its current level."

AGW has been scientific fact for 15 years or more, in the same way that it was a fact in the 70's that smoking was extremely dangerous. But the debate was kept going for 2 more decades by the powerful lobbyists. Now for climate change we have the nutters at the Heartland institute to thank for dodgy information, and more wasted years.

Wow!
"The people who still believe in man-made global warming are mostly on the radical fringe of society. This is why the most prominent advocates of global warming aren't scientists. They are murderers, tyrants, and madmen."
That's quite an image change from a bunch of tree hugging hippies!
I'd like to think that such a campaign reflects its last violent outbursts as it begins to die off. However, with so much money behind them from the huge fossil fuel industries in the US, I doubt we'll be seeing the back of them anytime soon.
