    Morning all,

what a lovely sunny day! Its a bit too wet to get into the garden and i never did get round to planting those seeds but the sun is a welcome change from the drab and dreary weather we have had lately.

I havent got that much to do today, Might start getting a few more bits a pieces ready in the hope that its free listing on ebay this weekend.

I'm doing spag bol for tea tonight i think. Must start it now as i like it to rest after its been cooked.

Need to check out rotary washing lines too so i might pop to B&Q later. My OWL energy monitor goes through the roof when i switch the tumble dryer on and i'd like to make a few changes to the energy consumption we use in the house.

Yay a strange light in the sky:):) I do believe it the sun trying to shine at long last. Now the local farmers can't get the crops sown because its too wet, fields are flooded and will take some time to dry out apparently.more rain forecast for monday though.Still its lovely to see the washing blowing away on the line.I have done all my shopping hopefully for the rest of the month, and apart from fresh bread/milk have nothing else to buy.
I am looking for a nice easy recipe for teacakes ,you know the sort you toast with butter dripping off.I had some gorgeous ones in Dorset they had a hint of cinnamon in them and I'd love to try and make some.I found the Homity Pie recipe and I shall try to recreate one tomorrow. I have done an invantory of my food cupboards and have decided that I have far too much stuff in store so I am going to try to use up a bit this month and save some cash I have already made a pile of cakes for my DGS and I know they will vanish like snowflakes in sunshine as the boys have hollow legs :)
History club this afternoon and I'm looking forward to that.Normal life has resumed in JackieO Towers :):)
Have a good day everyone whatever you are doing
    Cheers JackieO xx

    Hi all.

(((HUGS))) everywhere they're needed - there are a lot of people here needing them and I don't want to offend by accidentally omitting a name.;)

Strange yellow wossname in the sky today, but it's cold!! I cannot get warm. Not helped by the fact that Mr LW suggested my green dress today, and it's not really warm enough. Of course, I'm not able to change it now it's on, as I need help taking it off.:( Got a thick cardi and a shawl over the top at the mo.:D Also got my fingerless neoprene gloves on, as my hands are cold and hurting like the very devil today.

I put a hanky and towel wash on last night, and Mr LW helped put that outside on the whirligig before he left for work. I can put the hankies on the little carousel that goes on the corner of the whirligig myself, as I can hang the little carousel from the microwave handle to put them on it (sounds strange, but it works for us!):D And Mr LW hung the large stuff outside. Getting it in is easier - put the washing cart underneath, remove the pegs with my "good" arm, and let gravity do the rest!:rotfl:

I have a top that needs washing by hand - currently steeling myself to remove the neoprene gloves long enough to do this.

We're going to have nut loaf with sweet'n'sour rice for dins tonight followed by the 2nd half of the cherries in strawberry jelly that I made yesterday; and out tomorrow - we have an Everards "Mission Enjoyable" to do, where we get our paid (in vouchers) for testing the food, drink and facilities in a nearby Everards pub.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Hello everybody and hugs to all in need. What is it with this house moving? On here and 3 of my friends are also moving house...... anyone would think it's spring or something....:D

Well did some accounts last night and I'd forgot to allow for a couple of things :o so remember how i said I'd £90 to the end of the month.... Hmmmmm £30 actually. So storecupboard living it is. Actually we have got a bit of stuff in there so we should be okay but it will be tight. Apart from that not much to report. Still feeling bleargh..... and am having french stick for lunch with fruit. There's enough left for HM garlic bread tomorrow with HM pizza and tonight's dinner is sausage from the freezer, jackets and asparagus. I know OH wants mash but jackets can go in the oven where everything else will be doing and a lot less hassle for me. My plan for the weekend is to watch the DVD I got on my LoveFilm freebie.... (Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader.... read these books over and over as a child and love the films) and nothing else....let's hope I manage it. Oh and I "think" I've got somebody to budgie sit when were away in a few weekends for our 10th wedding anniversary. Having a couple of nights in a B&B in Shrewsbury on IVF doc and new GP orders as we've been too stressed..... Right off to see if there are any surveys needing completing...nearly at my first £10 amazon voucher :j Have a great Friday and weekend everyone!
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

    Afternoon All
Yeah :j we have sun and it is dry and windy so all the washing is out on the line, it is nice not to be tripping over the airers.
Had a visit from the council inspector yesterday and he was not happy with the state the road and pavement were left in, nor the fact that we had a big hole in front of our house and that the fence was damaged so he took lots of notes. Lo and behold this morning we had a big lorry here filling in the hole, but they haven't done it at all well and the turf will need replacing :( The inspector is coming back on Monday so we shall see what the council will do about it then. Evidently it is the Electricity board and they have contractors working for them, but that is no excuse and I have spoken to our neighbour who also has a big orange arrow for their verge to be dug up as well and they are far from happy. Oh well it makes life interesting;)
Also had to take the rabbit back to the vet and they have put him on more antibiotics and given him a decongestant powder that I have to sprinkle a teeny weeny pinch on his food once a day, that was another £40  and he has to go back again in two weeks. his jabs are due in June, but the vet has said they will hold off because he has to be 100% well before they give them to him.
DS is going to work with DH this afternoon, because they have just had work done on the roof and three classroom ceilings, so the classrooms need a good scrub and all the furniture needs to be put back in.
Oh well I must get dinner on BFN x
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

    Hi all,

Hugs to all in need or want of one.

Things not wonderful at Mean Mansions, hearts lifted this morning when pound said that they had had a call from somebody who had found a female border collie about 20k from here, called them and went to see dog....lovely but not Kerry, so OH is out in a bit with pictures in the hope that some one saw her....we are not encouraged by the news from at least 3 people that there is a huge rise in dog thieving in the area....apparently neutered dogs are then dumped as obviously can't be used for breeding...there are some rotten people in the world!! At this stage would even like to get a body so that she can join our other deceased pets at the bottom of the garden.

Steak and wedges for dinner with some fennel and broccoli, followed by yoghurt.

Lovely blue sky here this morning, has now got to a light grey, with hail showers to wake us up.

Thank you all for being my friends

    Marie
