my parents tenants keep on asking us to do odd jobs for them, we understand that they need to maintain the property for wear and tear but is it their responsibility to for small jobs like unblocking the sink? they dont mind cuz they live near but its quite regular and can be a pain.

depends if the sink is blocking because of a problem with the drainage in general - in which case it's your fault, or if it keeps blocking because they are pouring fat down the drains (their problem).
have a look at the thames water website. it has a very useful a-z of what should not go down the drains - i find it helpful to give my tenants a copy of this, along with a fat trap (jam jar to catch and throw away cooking fat).0 -
