Free ebook epub websites for ipad 3?

Does anyone know of any good websites for getting free ebooks (pdf) or epubs for the new ipad 3? I know of epubbooks but wondered if there were any other, more well known, ones?

Your local library may well do ebooks, I use my libraries. I am a member of 4! We live on the border of two counties, so I have joined both county libraries, and Bexley Library and Hertfordshire Library allow you to join from outside the county purely for ebook usage.

I just got my mother a Kindle touch.

I know she could have had a cheap tablet that would run 4.0 for about the same...

But she wanted a kindle, so she got one.

Though I would like to know where I can find her free autobiography's.

I loved the Gutenberg, and there are hundreds on amazon itself.

Find a free one like Dracula or Frankenstein then click on what others bought.

Aside from works that have passed into public domain you're unlikely to find more than a handful.

We're looking for a library rather than a bookshelf, but other visitors might as well check that out too. Though it may not be particularly friendly it's a very powerful tool.

+1 for Gutenberg project. Never pay for a classic as its in the public domain and Gutenberg will have it.
