TPS Bandits!

Hi folks,

Was outraged to receive a 'charge notice' from TPS in the post today after parking for exactly 1 hour 58 minutes in a retail park in North Ayrshire last week. Anyway, not one to part with my hard earned cash without a fight I googled it and am so glad to come across all the useful information on here. Cant believe that I was nearly sucked in by their official looking letter and CCTV pictures of my car, bloody chancers!

I will now be ignoring these letters and warning everyone who will listen to me about this con! A big thanks to all who have posted about this, you guys have saved me £45! :j

    PPCs say its carpark management, BPA say its raising standards..... we all know its just about raking in the revenue. :eek:

    I am a regular on other parts of the board so good job I know where to look. I too have got a letter today complete with photos and was almost scared into paying the fine but the MSE in me decided to google the company first as I have heard so many stories about so called parking companies. I too am going to ignore so thank you very much and I may appear again for a confidence boost if I get any more letters as I am not normally good with this sort of thing. BTW does anyone know how long it takes for them to stop with their game?

    It varies widely according to company. Some give up after a couple of letters, others try to grind you down with six or seven. There are ways to shorten this, but ultimately, if you never respond, they will go away. They have no other option if they don't know who the driver was.
