magpies vs squirrels

I`ve seen lots of fights between the two camps and they seem fairly evenly matched

    That's a bit like asking "Which would you prefer, measles or mumps?"

    Fortunately, I don't need to choose. My neighbour uses a Larsen trap, so magpies soon disappear, and the feral cat deals with the squirrels.

    Magpies were in decline but seem to have bounced back. Grey squirrels are more of a problem for Reds.

    Magpies, unfairly persecuted. Squirrels do taste good though.
