Cleaning Out Cat Spray

Not sure if this is the right board for this, but....
A stray cat got into our garage. Our old moggy went ballistic; sprayed and peed over everything he could reach. That included some of my OH's fishing gear. Most of it will be replaced. Though one item is now nigh on impossible to find new or secondhand.
It's a shoulder harness. Basically, some nylon webbing, plastic and metal clasps, and some padding.
It's been soaked for over 48 hours in a bucket full of 50% water, 50% a cocktail of carpet shampoo-dettol-persil liquid-febreeze extra strong-fairy liquid-vanish crystals. Then machine washed four times. But it still reeks!
Any ideas on how to get rid of the cat smell without destroying the fabric, please?

May get a better response on The Pets & Pet Care Board. I've seen similar questions before.0

This stuff digests the bacteria that cause the pong.0 -

Soak in a solution of bio washing powder xRIP TJ. You my be gone, but never forgotten. I have a ginger Tom with cystitis who persists in spraying (we don't get many visitors!!) and I use 'odour off' from the vets. It's a bit pricey but really does work and actually leaves quite a pleasant smell behind.0

The cheap way is vinegar. For a few hours you have a mix of pee and vinegar smell, but it does work. I regularly have a male cat spraying in the house and a spray bottle filled with vinegar sorts it out.0

Napisan may help. If not, it will not be a wasted purchase as you can use it in the general family washing loads. Wilkinsons sell it cheaper than most supermarkets.0

The Rx66 does really work. I clean any affected area with Bio washing powder and then spray the area liberally with the enzymatic cleaner. It smells of bubble gum...don't think I could handle vinegar AND cat pee!...but that smell soon fades away and it literally wipes out any underlying pong. It can be used to soak carpets or flooring and used for other nasty niffs as well as cat pee.0

I can vouch for the white vinegar too.
The smell of vinegar replaces the smell of cat pee, then disappears altogether.0
