Where to get cheap laminate floors

Hi All,

Can anybody recommend where i can get a cheaper price for quick step laminate flooring and underlay ? I would need around 21 sq. m. This is the brand that my decorator recommends.

I assume it's cheaper to order online.

I was able to save £300 on my fireplace by ordering online instead of getting one from our local fireplace shop!!!

Thanks.

we found wickes the cheapest for similar type to quick step.
    poor selection though, again.
the green packs of underlay seems to be the same price nearly everywhere.
    Get some gorm.

Quick step definately the brand of laminate you want, but not necessary regarded as 'cheap'.

    Try:

    http://www.completelyflooring.co.uk/index.php/cPath/21?vlsrc=gaw&gclid=CLXZ5u3X5IoCFQztlAodaie8vQ

    and
    http://www.flooringsupplies.co.uk/browse.cfm?type=laminate&wcw=google&gclid=CI_Orv7X5IoCFQbnlAodw1o8yw

but make sure you proceed to checkout on any online retailer just to make sure of final cost as VAt and delivery dependant on quantity ordered can make the price shoot......once armed with the best price ask your local floors2go to match...often quite obliging.

Underlay is a bigger problem but IMO the best around is Duralay timbermate excel gold or 'Boardwalk' (same thing really)

maybe a local carpet shop may have this as its much better than the foam ones and hydrofoil ones available at Floors2go, b&Q and all other DIY chains.
As the one recommended is a vapour barrier one, then it can be used anywhere, but is approx 4-5mm thick and sound reducing. If you cant source it, try ebay, as i had to revert here for a while before I managed to source a local supplier. If you are in Birmingham then i can of course give details of best place.

    Thanks gard !

I am from Stockport and the only local shops i know are b&q and floors2go.

yes i was told by my builder that quick step is the one to go fo bec of the quality. Generally, he was saying not to get ones which are £5 and below as those are of poor quality.

I need to get them by this weekend as they would be needing it on Monday.

I will try what you have recommended.

    Thanks again !

ive not found any difference in the quality in cheaper ranges of the laminate market.
5 or 10 quid seems all the same to me.
and it all has a 5 yr warranty. whatever thats worth!
    Get some gorm.

Oh god, shame you are so far away I have just lifted over 21 sq metres of "Quik Step" Beech laminate flooring. It is perfect condition and all packed, thanks to the wife for that.

It is the best and can be refitted up to three times I am told by company that supplied it.

Reason for change - different colour.

    Never mind
