Student Loan repayments whilst raising children?

Hi there,
I have recently given up work to raise my 3 children and I have just received a letter from the student loans company asking what my current state of employment is and if unemployed and not on benefits (which I'm not) how do I support myself.
I'm a little worried that my husband may have to start paying my loan which a)is very unfair and b)would probably tip us over the edge.
Has anyone got any help or advice?
Many thanks
