iphone washing machine photos

Iphone went through washing maching have managed to power it up and can view all the photos.
When I connect it to the laptop windows (XP) the camera wizard starts up and the apple icon appears within my computer, but I don't appear to able to get to any of the photos via the laptop.
Anyone know if there is another way to copy the photos to the laptop.

What version of iPhone is it? You could put them from your phone to iCloud and then back down to your computer. Alternatively you could email them all to yourself.0

Connecting via Bluetooth should enable you transfer the photos.0
