Ebuyer delivery problem

Hi folks,

just ordered a new router from ebuyer on next day delivery, which was supposed to be a week past Friday. I took time off to be in for it and it never came.

They tried to deliver it on Monday and again on Tuesday but there was no one in. i'm well peeved to say the least as i paid £8.99 for next day and took a holiday too.

I'd been in touch with them and they said they would check into it. The delivery company said they will deliver it on the Saturday which was over a week since it was supposed to be delivered. can i claim for the days wages because they stated the date for delivery

here is the coms so far

this was ordered on next working day delivery which was for 23/02/07 and has not been delivered i chose next working day as my router has broken and i need one urgently i took time off work to be in for delivery and paid £8.99 shipping surcharge. i would be grateful if you would inform me what has happened to my order

26/02/2007 17:06 delivery attempted today but there was no one home as the arragement was for Friday, the contact said they would try again tomorrow but there will be no one in, the next time they will attempt delivery is Saturday. I am furious at this i paid £9 for delivery on Friday and took one of my holidays to be in for the delivery and the earliest I'm going to get it will be over a week from when it was supposed to be delivered. So not only did i waste money on delivery i have lost a days holiday for nothing.

02/03/2007 13:54 I really don't beleive this, I take a day off my work at a loss of £70 to be in for a delivery that I paid £8.99 extra above the free delivery and the parcel will not be here until after the free delivery was due and all you were going to refund was the surcharge! not even the full delivery cost. Sarah
02/03/2007 15:05 Dear Mr xxxxxxx,

I understand the frustration caused. However we do not offer any further compensation due to delivery problems.

I apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Kind Regards

Could you perhaps pick it up from the depot or get it delivered to work? I dont think you will get any money/be compensated for the day you took off work however I can understand how frustrated you must be that it never arrived

    Hope it arrives soon!
