If it's only going to be friends buying, if they're collecting they can surely pay cash. Or would some of it be posted? If so bank transfer if your friends agree to it.

Google Checkout - I have used many times as a buyer, and its probably the same service you use with Android Play Store. Not sure if ebay rules allow but may be an alternative for you to take payments.

I also believe Google checkout is not permitted on ebay,
