There is a PayPal one too.
Mine read 'We have authorised you 12 monthly subscription to
magazine. If you have not subscribed log in to cancel.'
It was VERY realistic, the logo and lettering exactly matched PayPal. I forwarded it to PayPal and got a reply to let me know it is a scam
Best never to click links but to write it in the address bar yourself.
aims for 2014 - grow more fruit and veg, declutter0 -
I'm getting about a dozen a day supposedly from Amazon.com. I sent the first few to them at address given above - the rest go straight in the Spam folder.0

I'm supposed to have bought a £55 camera using Amazon & Paypal ....yeah, right! As has been said, the American site details & spelling give it away. Deleted.
I did get a few (supposedly) from an American airline ...the weekend in Washington sounded exciting but I've known DH too long to believe he was making any kind of romantic gesture!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
I had a similar spoof PayPal email a few days ago, saying they'd authorised my payment of £18 a month to Skype, and that if this was wrong to click on the link to cancel. It did look very realistic. There is a PayPal one too.

One tip, if anyone gets one of these emails with a link, is to hover your mouse over the link (without clicking on it) and see what address comes up in the bottom left hand corner of your screen. It's usually a bit of a giveaway.0 -
Thanks everyone, i did check my amazon account and these orders don't appear, so obviously a scam as suggested. I forward onto amazon.0

I've been getting loads of these emails since last week. It's very annoying.0

Does anyone know if the message coming up on Facebook saying your account security is low is a scam?
I clicked this and recently someone hacked my account, but didn't do anything with it. That I am aware, what could they do?0 -
I've just been in contact with amazon and they suggested i forward them all onto
stop-spoofing@amazon.com
also not to verify anything or click on any links, plus delete the emails once you've forwarded them.0 -
I clicked on the link (in my defence it was a very convincing email:o) and my PC immediately identified it as a Trojan, so it was probably doing a lot more than just trying to steal Amazon log in details.0
