Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could advise me in finding a good deal for cottages in Cornwall for the jubilee bank holiday. We are a group of 6 adults and 2 kids and would be looking for 3 nights. Also places to visit would be something i 'd be looking for. I have the EDEN project in mind. What else would be worth going?
Any help/advise on this would be much appreaciated.
Regards,
SJ

I have just found a site www.next4weeks.co.uk we have just started advertising our North Yorkshire cottage on there but most of the cottages are in Devon and Cornwall it is as the name suggests a place where cottage owners advertise vacancies for the next 4 weeks however there is a link to each cottage website to see availability throughout the year.Owner of a cute cottage in the North York Moors :j0

If you are going to Eden don't miss out on the Lost Gardens of Heligan http://www.heligan.com/ which is nearby , we actually preferred it to Eden..
Bought tickets for Eden with Tesco Vouchers . We stayed in a b&b so can't help with accommodation..#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

Hear hear! So did we - found Eden a dated expensive waste of money (even at half price) that was preaching to the converted - maybe relevant a few years ago but with so much environmental stuff around these days it seems to have had its day, and the planting schemes were tattyIf you are going to Eden don't miss out on the Lost Gardens of Heligan http://www.heligan.com/ which is nearby , we actually preferred it to Eden..
Heligan is timeless, Trebah is nice and has a beach too
Frankly is it's Cornwall then the beaches are so great that you don't need to do much else - rockpooling whatever the weather, scrambling over rocky bits, walking on beach - try Bedruthun Steps - unique and other-worldly
We didn't like the mining experience or Newquay Zoo but loved the seal sanctuary, Tintagel Castle and Boscastle up north
Have fun

If you are into gardens then Trebah is well worth a visit. http://www.trebahgarden.co.uk/

I stayed at killigarth manor, near Polperro last month and it was lovely. Not too far from the Eden Project and there's onsite entertainment including crazy golf.
It cost us £330 for a week but would probably be more that weekend.
You can find prices by googling John Fowler.
We visited Carnglaze Caverns, cheap and quite interesting even though I'm not too bothered about history.0 -

I grew up in Cornwall and used to go to Trebah all the time, great place. (Take towels and some drinks for the beach, OP) They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -
