Hi

My son is trying to reclaim his charges from RBOS and HSBC.

He has his statements from RBOS but HSBC say they can't find his account.

It was closed 2 years ago after he got into bad debt and had an overdraft of £600 made up of pure charges.

How can he prove that the account exists, he has no statements anywhere and remembers the account number from memory ! Is there any other way of confirming the information, I thought it would appear on his credit file but doesn't show the account no ?
