MBNA (AA) credit card sleight of hand

Thanks, but that is exactly what I am complaining about - repayments made were not counted towards the minimum payment. It's in the OP.
The post you quoted specifically stated refunds, ie a credit to the account because you returned an item purchased.
You are complaining that payments made before a statement is produced do not count against that statement when it is produced. Quite why I'm still wondering.0 -
I would ask for clear and precise T&Cs.We will show the amount you have to pay, the date by which you must make the payment and how you can pay, on your statement.

Yes - I've already said that I pay my other cards in full each month, on or the last working day before the due date.
As I said, I didn't pay proper attention to this one, and I got caught out.
How's it going with understanding what 30 days interest-free credit means?:)
But the T&Cs for the other accounts will work exactly the same. You did not get caught out, you paid extra to previous months statement.0 -

Did anybopdy mention refunds?
All credit products work the same.
If you have a mortagage and say your monthly payment is £1000 a month due by 1st of the month. You made the payment of £1000 on the 2nd and another payment on 10th of the month of £1000. The 2nd payment will count to reduce the balance not towards your next month payment.
You will still need to make the payment of £1000 following month.
Since you have not pay proper attention I am sure your credit file is also maked to say that to warn other credit companies. Others may also reduce the limit as well0 -

Yes, you did.
In response to Redpetes post.
If i were you, i'd stick to paying the amount thats due on the due date on your statement. Make as many ad hoc payments as you like, now that you know how it works. Or better still, set up a DD for the minimum amount ?
I'm sure this has already been mentioned0 -

'redpete' mentioned refunds in his post
You then quoted his post
You even emboldened the paragraph mentioning "refunds"
You then said that was exactly what you were complaining about, when clearly it's not.0 -
I have no idea what a refund would have to do with the context of this topic.
People are showing little sympathy for your plight because, despite everyone telling you how things are, and some of us even quoting T&Cs, you still won't accept you're wrong and/or misunderstood/misread your account T&Cs...preferring instead to rely on your own (mis)interpretation of the T&Cs applying to your account.
'redpete' was saying that he would have had some sympathy if you had, what he would call, a genuine grievance.0 -

I'm sure this has already been mentioned
I didn't need the advice on how to pay, as I already mentioned in the OP that it's all paid off, and I mentioned later that they refunded the last charge so I think I'm in credit! And thus if you were me you wouldn't pay anything!:)
The point was and remains that the published T&Cs do not cover the situation where a payment is made before that month's staement is issued, also if you refer to the OP, I said "I thought I'd share this as a warning.".
There have been several judgemental replies, various "everybody knows this" type comments, but the actual T&Cs don't explicitly state that, and so it is hearsay.0
